CHA Christmas Party

We will be doing our Christmas party on Tuesday evening, December 16 @ Calvary Community Church (Classroom 301). Doors open at six, dinner at 6:30. It is a potluck and we will be playing games for prizes. We will also be giving gifts to a 3 – 4 year old boy within one of our CHA families. Please bring a dish and a small gift (not mandatory) and show up with your family/friends and have some fun!

Monthly Meeting

SIGHT IN- PRACTICE- FUN SHOOT

Cliff Saylor (CWS), SCOA, will be the Range Master. First come, first served for the shooting tables. One hour per table will be the norm if we have a large turnout and are short of tables. This event is open to all PVCI, CHA, AES, and HAHWG members, families, and ALL our friends (membership not required, non-members welcome). If full, waits for a shooting table may occur. Note that Rifle 1 is a smaller range than others used in the past.
Information/Notes from Range Master: The fee for shooting is $15 per person for anyone 18 and over. Fee will be collected by CWS upon arrival. Kids up to 18 shoot free (fee for ammunition if provided by SCOA). Rifles, handguns, and muzzle loaders are allowed. Targets will be set at 100 yards. NO CHARGE FOR SHOOTING OR SIGHT IN ASSISTANCE. Participants need to bring their firearms, ammunition, targets, hearing protection, eye protection, and shooting rests or blocks. If participants have their own spotting scopes and/or binoculars they should bring them along as well. There will be a few loaner .22s for participants to shoot for practice as needed and available. As seen in the past, this makes a huge difference when hunters, both new and experienced, get in the field. Ammo is $5.00 per box of 50 for .22 ammunition. SCOA provides all ammunition for shooters using SCOA guns unless otherwise approved by CWS. Restrooms are located nearby. Participants should bring snacks, drinks, and PPE as they desire. All shooting will end at 3:00 p.m. Last check in time for shooting will be 1:30 p.m. as we have to clean up and be off the range by 3:00 pm.
THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO INTRODUCE NEW SHOOTERS TO THE SPORT!
ALL NORMAL RANGE RULES AND FIREARM SAFETY RULES WILL APPLY AT ALL TIMES. CLIFF SAYLOR, SCOA, WILL BE THE RANGE MASTER AND WILL HAVE 100% CONTROL OF THE RANGE. PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW ALL RANGE MASTER COMMANDS AND RANGE SAFETY RULES AS INSTRUCTED. VIOLATIONS OF RANGE MASTER COMMANDS OR SAFETY RULES MAY RESULT IN SUSPENSION OF SHOOTING PRIVILEGES.
